Mobile App Privacy Policy

Navitus Health Solutions, LLC (“Navitus,” “us,” “our” or “we”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information we may collect or that you may provide when you download, access, or use the Navitus Mobile App (the “App”). It also describes our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

This policy applies only to information we collect in this App, email, text, and other electronic communications sent through this App. This policy DOES NOT apply to information that we collect offline or on any other Navitus apps or websites or that you provide to or is collected by any third party.

Our other apps and these third parties may have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read before providing information through them.

Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policy and practices, do not download, register with, or use this App. By downloading, registering with, or using this App, you agree to this privacy policy. This policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of this App after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.

Usage by Children

The App is not intended for users under the age of 18. If you are under 18 years of age, or if you are considered a minor in your state, do not use the App.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us toll-free at 1-877-571-7500.

Information We Collect

We collect information from and about users of the App directly from you when you provide it to us and automatically when you use the App. When you download, register with, or use this App, we may ask you to provide information by which you may be personally identified, such as name, postal address, email address, telephone number, date of birth, medical history, unique ID number from your pharmacy or medical benefits ID Card, health services, information on your physical or mental health conditions, information about your prescriptions, or any other information the app collects that is defined as personal, or personally identifiable information under an applicable law (”identifiable data”).

This information includes information that you provide by filling in forms in the App. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use the App.

When you download, access, and use the App, it may use technology to automatically collect:

Health Plan Information: Your employer or health plan may provide us with some of your personal information. Please contact your employer or health plan if you have any questions concerning the information your employer or health plan may have provided to us.

With respect to any personal information you provide that is related to other individuals connected with the services provided by the App, you represent that you have the authority to provide such information and to permit us to use the information pursuant to this Privacy Policy.

If you do not want us to collect this information do not download the App, delete the App from your mobile or personal device. Navitus may retain data we have collected during your use of the App even after you have removed the App from your device.

We also may use these technologies to collect information about your activities over time (behavioral tracking) in order to discover how you interact with the App.

The technologies we use for automatic information collection may include cookies or mobile cookies. A cookie is a small file placed on your smartphone or personal device. It may be possible to refuse to accept mobile cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your smartphone or personal device. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of the App.

Third-Party Information Collection

When you use the App or its content, certain third parties may use automatic information collection technologies to collect information about you or your device. These third parties may include your mobile device manufacturer or your mobile service provider.

These third parties may use tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use this App. The information they collect may be associated with your identifiable data or they may collect information, including identifiable data, about your online activities over time and across different websites, apps, and other online services websites. We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used.

User Options

The App will allow you to access the data we have about you. You will be able to edit, share, or delete some of the data we have about you. You can manage your communications preferences through the App. You may control the receipt of push notifications from the App through your mobile device settings.

Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose aggregated information about our users and information after removing identifiers in order to support Navitus operations or to develop and improve new and current products and services, such as quality control, fraud detection, and analytics. Analytics means the process of examining data to draw conclusions from that information. We use Google Analytics for Firebase, an analytics services provided by Google Inc., in order to provide us insight on app usage and user engagement. In order to activate Google Analytics for Firebase in the app, we embed a third party software development kit (SDK) that is provided by Google. This helps us analyze user actions, such as number of clicks and navigation within the mobile app. We also use Firebase Predictions, which helps us predict user behavior based on analytics data from Google Analytics for Firebase. We will not sell your identifiable data or de-identified data to data brokers, marketing firms, advertising firms, analytics firms, or any other entities, unless you provide us with permission. Data broker means companies that collect personal information about consumers from a variety of public and non-public sources and resell the information to other companies.

Your Choices About Our Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Your Information

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. This section describes mechanisms we provide for you to control certain uses and disclosures of over your information.

We do not control third parties’ collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way.

Please note that we may need to retain certain information for record keeping purposes.

Data Security

If you choose to receive communications from us through the App, you acknowledge that you are electing to receive such data, which may contain your Protected Health Information as defined by HIPAA, which we do not encrypt in the device or App. Further, such data is not encrypted when stored on Navitus’ servers nor with any outside cloud computing services provider. Navitus will use industry standard measures to encrypt data transmitted from your mobile device to Navitus, but Navitus does not guarantee absolute security. Encryption means a method of converting an original message of regular text to encoded text in such a way that only authorized parties can read it.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password or passcode for access to certain parts of the App, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password or passcode with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet and mobile platforms is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your identifiable data, we cannot guarantee the security of your identifiable data transmitted through the App. Any transmission of identifiable data is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy or security settings, recommendations, or measures we provide.

Right to Receive Notice in the Event of a Breach

We comply with applicable laws regarding breaches. You have the right to be notified of a discovered breach or an unauthorized disclosure of your data that has not been secured in accordance with federal standards. Notification does not imply that Navitus is responsible for the breach or unauthorized disclosure.

Deactivation of Account

When your account is deactivated or terminated by you or by us, as set forth in the End User License Agreement, no new data will be collected about you through the App. Your data is retained in accordance with our retention guidelines.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ identifiable data information, we will post the new privacy policy on this page.

The date the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page where it indicates “Last Modified.” You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable email address and/or phone number for you and for periodically visiting this privacy policy to check for any changes.
